NDA government has been proactive, visible: Amit Shah
“I believe that its most remarkable achievement has been that it has ended the trust deficit among people in the government," Shah said.

In a press interaction here to mark the first anniversary of the Modi regime, Shah was defensive on constant comparisons to the ‘bad days’ of the UPA government, the conflict between the Centre and the Delhi government and differences with RSS affiliates — the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh and Bhartiya Kisan Sangh — and why BJP’s core issues like Ram temple have not been addressed, though the party has a brute majority in the Lok Sabha.
“I believe that its most remarkable achievement has been that it has ended the trust deficit among people in the government. Earlier even the bureaucracy did not have faith in the PM. This is a visible, proactive government... It has also restored the dignity of the PMO. This government has come out of the policy paralysis,” Shah said.
He underlined that the ‘oft-occurring scams’ during the UPA regime had shattered the confidence of the people in the government but now for the past one year no scams have been reported. He highlighted the various social service schemes of the Modi government and the steps taken to check growth of black-money. “We had pledged to eliminate corruption and we have provided a corruptionfree regime. After one year, even our opponents cannot point fingers on corruption,” he said.
The BJP president slammed the Congress-led UPA for its “zero-loss theory” on 2G spectrum allocations which he claimed were the subject of ‘endless debates’ in English news channels. The NDA government has ensured that lakhs of crores were collected through coal, mines and spectrum auctions and the money spent on welfare of the people.
