NCP backs Rahul Gandhi's stand on Adarsh scam
Rahul feels that Maha govt should reconsider its rejection of a report that indicts some former Cong CMs and two NCP ministers in Adarsh scam.

NCP's backing comes 10 days after the Prithviraj Chavan-led government rejected the report of the Adarsh Commission of Inquiry after it was tabled in the state Assembly.
“The line taken by the Congress vice-president is very correct and it (the decision to reject the commission report) should be reconsidered,” NCP general secretary Tariq Anwar said. “We will support any decision to review the state cabinet’s decision.”
On Friday, Gandhi had said, “I don’t agree with that decision. They (Maharashtra) should reconsider that.” The following day, party chief Sonia Gandhi indicated that the state cabinet would retract its decision. On his part, Chavan has already said that the cabinet will take up the issue soon.
NCP’s Anwar also took a snipe at the Chavan cabinet’s decision on the report. “The decision to reject the report was apparently taken in haste... It was not proper to reject the panel’s report. There is a need to review it,” he said.
