NBFC senior executive arrested for alleged fraud

Kaushik Chatterjee a former senior employee of Capri Global Capital was arrested by Goregaon police on September 18, 2018 for alleged fraud.

MUMBAI: Kaushik Chatterjee a former senior employee of Capri Global Capital was arrested by Goregaon police on September 18, 2018 for alleged fraud.

The arrest happened on a complaint by Capri Global Capital Limited which alleged fraud by Kaushik Chatterjee who connived with a borrower and sanctioned loan of Rs 4.5 crore to a company despite Rs 122 crore default of bank guarantee. Chattrejee sanctioned loan of Rs 4.5 crore and it turned non-performing within three months.

Chatterjee is now a chief risk officer with another Mumbai based non banking finance company.
