Naxals raid mine of NMDC; set poclain machine on fire
Group of Naxals stormed into a mining area of state-run NMDC in Chhattisgarh and allegedly set a poclain machine on fire, police said

"A group of Maoists raided 14-mines rpt 14-mines deposit of National Mineral Development Corporation, located in the interiors of Kirandul's Bailadila mining area late last night and torched the machine engaged in excavation work," a senior police official told PTI.
On sensing the presence of naxals, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel rushed to the spot and opened fire on the rebels following which they fled to core forests, the official said.
Later, police personnel were sent to the spot, he said, adding, a combing operation has been launched in the region, located around 450 kms away from the state capital, to nab the attackers.
In another incident in Bailadila, Maoists removed fishplates from a railway track in a bid to disrupt train services on Kirandul-Jagdalpur-Visakhaptanam route.
"The fish plates were removed between Bailadila and Bacheli stations last night," the official said.
However, after getting inputs about the damage, railway personnel were soon sent to the spot accompanied by police and restoration work was undertaken, he said.
The train services were unaffected.
