Navigation satellite IRNSS-1A launch delayed by fortnight
The launch of IRNSS-1A, the first Indian Navigation Satellite, scheduled for June 12 has been deferred by a fortnight

IRNSS-1A Satellite had gone through all electrical checks and was ready for propellant filling with the PSLV-C22 vehicle fully integrated and undergoing electrical checks.
But, during the electrical checks, an anamoly was observed in one of the electro-hydraulic control actuators in the second stage, Indian Space Research Organisation said in a statement.
It has been decided to replace the actuator, it said, adding, that it needs two weeks of activity at the Launch Pad and the Vehicle Assembly Area.
Accordingly, the launch of PSLV-C22/IRNSS-1A is delayed by a fortnight, it said.
