Naveen Patnaik makes a quick recovery after a bout of dehydration

BHUBANESHWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik gave his well-wishers a little scare, succumbing to a bout of “dehydration” during Independence Day celebrations in Bhubaneshwar. Patnaik though made a quick recovery, advising everyone out there to drink adequate water.

Patnaik, after hoisting the national flag, seemed to fumble over the fag end of his speech. The 71 year old CM left the event visibly uncomfortable creating a bit of a stir. After an hour’s rest he was back, attending to his schedule which included and event recognising outstanding service from policemen.

“Should have had adequate water for parade in sunny humid conditions. Felt bit dehydrated. Perfectly fine now with two glasses of nimbu pani (lemonade). Attending rest of day’s programs. Must tell all you kids out there to drink adequate water before going out in sun. Thanks for your wishes,” he tweeted

Friends and critics conveyed their best wishes over social media. West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee wished him a speedy recovery. And Patnaik replied, he was perfectly alright now after a bout of dehydration.
