Naveen Jindal, wife declare assets worth nearly Rs 300 crore

CHANDIGARH: Congress nominee from Haryana's Kurukshetra Lok Sabha segment Naveen Jindal today declared that he and his wife have assets worth nearly Rs 300 crore while filling his nomination papers.

The sitting MP declared his movable and immovable assets amount to Rs 288.13 crore and Rs 8.89 crore, respectively. The total assets comprises assets of Naveen Jindal & Sons HUF and his wife, as per a Haryana election office spokesman.

An MBA from University of Texas at Dallas in the USA, Jindal declared his bank deposits and share investments amounting to Rs 6.13 crore and Rs 143.88 crore respectively. The HUF has bank deposits of Rs 2.58 crore and investments in shares and bonds of Rs 60.44 crore. His wife Shaalu Jindal has bank deposits and bonds worth Rs 8.07 crore and 42.42 lakh respectively. Jindal and his wife own jewelry worth Rs 6.05 crore and 3.68 crore respectively.
