Naveen Jindal lodges complaint with Election Commission against Zee
NEW DELHI: Congress MP and chairman of JSPL, Naveen Jindal has filed a complaint with the Election Commission against the Zee Group for allegedly telecasting false news against him.

Jindal, who is contesting election from Kurukshetra constituency of Haryana, has written to EC alleging that Zee news channels were breaching the EC's code of conduct and attempting to damage his reputation.

"It would be worthwhile mentioning that 85 specific news stories targetting me and my company have been telecast by Zee News and its channels since the model code conduct came into force," he said.

Jindal said the programming against him was because of an FIR filed by him against Zee in 2012. "These channels are also showing some old news having no relevance to elections but they unscrupulously connect it to elections and try to manipulate it to make the news item related to election," he said.
