The day was observed in all the 12 districts of the state under the theme 'Easy Registration, Easy Correction'.

Awareness was created on registering one person in one place only, thereby promoting surrender of duplicate registration.

Addressing a gathering as the chief guest, state Chief Secretary C J Ponraj called upon the electorates to have attitudinal change while exercising their franchise.

He said a vote gives a politician to rule for five years and therefore it is very important that one should have the moral ethics and values while electing the leader.
