National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah announces party elections

JAMMU: National Conference chief and Union Minister Farooq Abdullah today announced holding of the party elections.

The process in this regard would start within a week, he said at a meeting of the NC's Provincial Working Committee here.

Abdullah asked party activists to brace themselves for upcoming Municipal and local bodies elections.

"The coalition government, led by the NC, has completed three years which have witnessed holistic development in all spheres,

"It is our (party's) responsibility to take the message of the government to the people and strengthen the bonds of coalition at the grassroot," he said in a message to party workers.
