National Conference and People’s Democratic Party accuse each other of having links with Narendra Modi & BJP
Two main parties in the state – the National Conference and People’s Democratic Party – are accusing each other of having ties with Modi and his party.

It started with NC’s CM Omar Abdullah alleging at a meeting in south Kashmir on Sunday that “power thirsty” Mufti Sayeed of PDP was hobnobbing with BJP. “There is a hidden league between BJP, PDP and Panthers Party.” Panthers is a Jammu-based right-wing party which has its support base in Udhampur.
PDP president Mehbooba Mufti hit back in north Kashmir: “In 1998, Farooq Abdullah took 60 assembly members and four MPs and put them on BJP’s lap for just getting his son a junior minister’s job,” Mufti said. “To solve the unemployment problem in the family, NC has aligned with everybody in Delhi in the past,” she alleged. Her charges were echoed by PDP spokesman and lawmaker Naeem Akhter
