National Commission for Women signs memorandum of understanding with NTPC

NEW DELHI: The National Commission for Women (NCW)today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) for the purpose of sensitising the the staff of NTPC on gender issues.

The Executive Director, A C Chaturvedi signed the MoU on behalf of NTPC, while Sunita H Khurana, Joint Secretary, NCW signed on behalf of the Commission.

According to the MoU, NCW will hold workshops to sensitize the staff of NTPC on gender related issues and appropriate behaviour at workplace, especially on various aspects of sexual harassment of women at workplace.

The Commission will provide technical assistance such as resource persons and contents for development of resource material for holding these workshops.
