Nasscom keen to help Karnataka CM on attracting IT investments

Nasscom will discuss with newly elected Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah matters concerning infra development to attract IT investments in the state.

BANGALORE: IT industry body Nasscom will discuss with newly elected Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah matters concerning infrastructure development to attract IT investments in the state.

"We are meeting the Chief Minister shortly to discuss matters concerning infrastructure development to attract IT investments in the state. We are ready to give him support on this issue," he told reporters here.

Nasscom members would tell Siddaramaiah about opportunities available with the state in IT sector and want to collaborate and create the right eco-system. "Given an option we want to participate and work with the government to make it happen."

Natarajan said the government can do something to attract companies, which invested in other states due to "reasons well known", back to Karnataka.

He said opportunities were available for the industry in Mangalore, Mysore and other cities of the state.

Natarajan said Bangalore still continues to be a very sought after place because of the availability of talent.
