Nariman House reopens today

Nariman House, the six-storey Jewish community centre Chabad-Lubavitch, target of the 26/11 terror attack, will reopen on Tuesday.

MUMBAI: Nariman House based in south Mumbai, the six-storey Jewish community centre Chabad-Lubavitch, which was the target of the 26/11 terror attack, will reopen on Tuesday .

Six people, including Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Gabi Holtzberg and his wife Rivky were killed in the attack on Nariman House.

Since the 26/11 terror attack, Chabad-Lubavitch has continued its activities from temporary locations throughout the city , catering to the spiritual and physical needs of the Jewish community and visitors.


Rabbi Israel Kozlovsky and his wife Chaya serve as the organisation's directors.

“This six-story building was operating fully until the attack happened,“ said Rabbi Israel Kozlovsky .“We're not moving into a new building; we are returning to our original building and we will be continuing and expanding all the activities that took place here,“ he said.

To commemorate this occasion, 25 aChabad-Lubavitch rabbis from across Asia, including alocations such as Bangkok,Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong, will convene at the newly-renovated centres for the Asian regional gathering of rabbis.
