Addressing a letter to President, Ram Nath Kovind, Manmohan Singh categorically that Modi's words are threatening and it undermines democratic values.

Former prime minister Manmohan Singh reacted sharply to the language used by Narendra Modi during his election campaign in Hubli. Addressing the masses on the 6th of May in Hubli, Narendra Modi said that the Congress leaders must understand that if they cross their limits, they will have to pay for it.

Addressing a letter to the President, Ram Nath Kovind, Manmohan Singh categorically stated that Modi's words are threatening and it undermines democratic values.

The letter laid down five charges; using threatening words, unacceptable conduct by Modi, intimidating Congress workers, public warnings issued to Congress and provoking breach of peace.


Modi in his speech also mentioned that Congress President and Smt. Sonia Gandhi Ji must answer people why they are out on 'Zamaanat'.
