Narendra Modi's Punjab rally will change political landscape: Sukhbir Singh Badal
JAGRAON: Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today asserted that BJP prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi's upcoming rally here would "change the political landscape", and prove to be the death knell for the Congress.

After taking stock of preparations for the 'Fateh rally' to be held on February 23, he said that "an unprecedented crowd will turn up at Jagraon next Sunday to hear Modi".

The SAD leader, who was accompanied by Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia, said the rally would go down in history as the largest in the state.

"There would be profound change in the political scenario of India after the rally," he claimed.

He said the people were visibly fed-up with anti-people and anti-poor policies of the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre.

Claiming that the people were desperate to get rid of the "world's most corrupt" government, Sukhbir said the BJP-led NDA would come to power after the next elections.

On Aam Aadmi Party candidate from the Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat H S Phoolka's remarks about not charging fees for arguing cases from Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Sukhbir said, "He is not answerable to his assertions." "Phoolka is no match for me in politics," he added.
