Narendra Modi's 25-year public life milestone a 'golden phase', says BJP

New Delhi: The BJP on Wednesday celebrated PM Narendra Modi's 25 years in public life with a nationwide 'Seva Jyoti Yatra', with Union home minister Amit Shah describing the period as a "golden" phase in the country's democratic history and linking it to welfare, national security and infrastructure development.

"Modi's 25 years as CM and PM have been marked by measures aimed at poverty alleviation, a secure India, removal of Article 370, ending Naxalism, the construction of the Ram temple and Kashi Vishwanath temple, and the expansion of infrastructure," Shah said while addressing a gathering in Gurugram. "The 25-year period will be remembered as 25 years of India's welfare and glory." BJP president Nitin Nabin, while addressing the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha' in Delhi, added the dimension of welfare and social security during Modi's tenure as CM and PM.

"India has joined the world's top-five economies in 12 years. Even amid global crises, India's economy is growing at a rapid pace. This is a testament to the strong decisions taken under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and the economic strength of New India," defence minister Rajnath Singh said while addressing a gathering in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
