Narendra Modi wants to eradicate all remnants of Congress rule: Manas Bhuniya
Congress leader Manas Bhuniya today accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of trying to eradicate all the achievements of Congress rule.

"Going by BJP president Amit Shah's comment a few days ago that BJP needs to work to make India Congress free, the prime minister seems to be working in that direction - wiping out all the good work of the Congress regime, including abolishing the Planning commission," Bhuniya told PTI.
The prime minister during his August 15 speech had said a new institution would soon be set up in place of the Planning Commission.
"The Planning Commission bears the heritage of an idea mooted in pre-Independent era. It bears the heritage of India. The move to abolish that institution is an attempt to abolish that idea mooted and preached by the stalwarts of pre- and post-independent India," said Bhuniya.
Rather than abolishing the institution, the Centre could take up policies to change its functioning and structure.
"If questions have been raised over the functioning of Planning Commission then steps should be taken to revamp it. There should be new policies to change its functioning and structure," Bhuniya said.
