Narendra Modi vows to bring back black money
KURUKSHETRA: Committing to bring back blackmoney stashed abroad, Narendra Modi today said if elected to power, he would take all the necessary steps, including framing a law or signing pacts, and vowed to take action against anyone who has "looted" the country.

Addressing a rally here in Haryana, the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate said that many people who had made money through corruption had stashed their wealth in foreign bank accounts.

He alleged that the Congress was not in favour of getting back that money.

"Who refuses (to bring back the blackmoney), it is the Congress party.... Those who have looted and destroyed the country, they are playing this game," he said.

"..I promise whether a new law is needed or a new pact with another country is required, I will bring this blackmoney back to India," he told the gathering here.

Modi, who also raised the issue of alleged corruption in coal block allocations, said, "after our government is formed in Delhi, all those who have looted the country, what will be there fate....however mighty they are they will have to answer the people of the country."

He alleged that even CBI had been "suppressed" and cases are filed as per the directions of Congress.

Talking in the context of Haryana, the BJP leader contended that Congress will not be able to open its account here this time.

"On one side in this elections there is the game of money and on the other side there is sweat. But on this land of 'Gita', sweat and hardwork will beat money power," he added.

Seeking to strike a chord with Haryana, the Gujarat Chief Minister invoked Lord Krishna, saying he had delivered his message at Kurukshetra and then gone to live in Dwarka in Gujarat.
