Narendra Modi turned people’s anger into communal hatred: Rahul Gandhi

Gandhi has accused PM Modi of “robbing” the country of its economic prowess and “damaging” India by converting people’s anger due to joblessness into “communal hatred”.

On the first anniversary of demonetisation, which he termed as a “tragedy”, Rahul Gandhi said livelihood of millions of Indians were destroyed due to this “thoughtless act” of the PM. “Modi’s reforms have robbed India of its economic prowess,” he alleged in an article in ‘Financial Times’.

While interacting with traders and small and medium industrialists of Surat on Wednesday, Gandhi said: “It is not just BJP, but even we have not kept in mind your interests as much as we should have.” The Congress vice-president said Surat has the potential to stand up to the challenge from China in terms of generating employment.
