Narendra Modi to attend BJP National Executive meeting

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said he will attend the BJP National Executive meeting that began in Mumbai this morning.

UDAIPUR: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said he will attend the BJP National Executive meeting that began in Mumbai this morning.

"I will land in Mumbai at 3:15 PM," he told reporters here.

Modi's decision comes hours after his known critic and BJP leader Sanjay Joshi decided to resign as an invitee on the National Executive.

The meeting is significant as it is the first major gathering of the BJP top brass ahead of the Assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, the two party-ruled states, scheduled by the year-end.

Modi had not attended the last meeting of the National Executive held in Delhi in December, apparently peeved over the induction of Joshi into Uttar Pradesh election campaign by party chief Nitin Gadkari.
