Narendra Modi to address conference in Tiruchirappalli on September 26

CHENNAI: Gujarat Chief Minister NarendraModi will address a YuvaMorcha Conference at Tiruchirappally in Tamil Nadu next month, state BJP unit said on Friday.


Modi will address the meeting titled "Ilantamarai Manadu" (Young Lotus Conference) on September 26, BJP state secretary Vanathi Srinivasan told PTI.

Party president Rajnath Singh was also scheduled to participate, she said.

While the party had earlier announced the date of his visit to the state, the place was decided later.

Modi, appointed BJP Campaign Committee Chief for next year's Lok Sabha polls, had recently addressed a similar conference in Hyderabad, virtually launching his party's poll campaign from the Andhra Pradesh capital.
