Narendra Modi reiterates jibe against Congress over Anna Hazare

Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on Monday once again accused the Congress of adopting "double standards" on the issue of corruption.

AHMEDABAD: With the showdown between the Congress and anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare reaching its crux, Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on Monday once again accused the Congress of adopting "double standards" on the issue of corruption.

"Another example of Congress's disgusting double standards. For them, Anna is corrupt while A Raja & Sheila Dixit are non-corrupt!", Modi twitted on social networking site.

Modi's comment came in the backdrop of Congress launching a 'no holds barred' attack on Hazare over a report of Justice Sawant Commission and accusing him of having been indulged into act of corruption.

The chief minister had on Sunday criticised the Union government for adopting double standards with regard to fight against corruption lead by the Gandhian.

"PM tells Anna (Hazare) to go to police for any complaint...Disciplined behaviour is expected from Anna while to the officers of Gujarat police who are indulging into indiscipline, the message of the Congress government is 'do not worry we will protect you'," Modi had tweeted.
