Narendra Modi, Mulayam to rally in UP today

LUCKNOW: BJP Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav will hold shows of strength on Thursday in western UP, which has witnessed communal strife recently.

Modi will address a rally in Agra and Mulayam and Akhilesh will address supporters in Bareilly. Congress and the Rashtriya Lok Dal of Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh too are holding rallies on the same day.

Congress will hold an agitation in front of the Vidhan Sabha building to highlight the delay in implementation of the Right to Food scheme in UP.

This will be the first major agitational program of the Congress against the SP government which supports its UPA government at the Centre.
