Narendra Modi jaisa koi nahin: Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh

RAIPUR: BJP PM-in-waiting candidate and Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi baiters attempt to equate the achievements of Chhattisgarh chief minister Dr Raman Singh and his Gujarat counterpart , in terms of their hat tricks at the hustings , got a rebuff on Monday from Singh , who ruled out his possibilities of being in race for Delhi and said Modi was the man for the job.

Talking to TOI, Singh said , “Modi ji se meri koi tulna hi nahin hai” (No comparison between me and Modi). He has done a lot of work and deserves to be the Prime Minister .” Reacting to the glowing clamour , particularly in the social media , by Modi baiters that he (Singh ) and MP chief minister , Shivraj Singh Chouhan , have the same credentials as Na Mo and would be more acceptable due to their secular image , Singh said , “this is humbug” . “Country’s best interests are in Modi’s heart and there can be no better candidate for the PM’s post than him . There is no one like him” , he said .

Claiming that Modi’s election rallies in the state had helped the party gain ground , Singh said people were galvanised by his leadership . “As far as I’m concerned my priorities are Chhattisgarh and I’m thankful to the people for reposing faith in me .”

In responseto a question on possibilities of his moving to Delhi for a larger role in event of BJP forming the next government at the Centre , Singh said , “Raman Delhi mein fit nahin hai” .
