It unanimously passed a resolution at its meeting, saying the trip is "historical break from an unforgettable past" and the "Prime Minister is making concerted efforts to have a new and meaningful friendship among SAARC nations", adding that Modi has injected a new life in Indo-Nepal relations.

"The Prime Minister's stance - 'No interference in internal affairs of Nepal and only solicited cooperation' -- was well received by one and all," said the resolution moved by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu.
It said that Modi's support to a democratic republic Constitution has helped in removing several misgivings and the Prime Minister spoke a new language of diplomacy, matching the high expectations of Nepal and has inaugurated a fresh start in bilateral relations.
The meeting, held in the Central Hall of Parliament, was attended by senior BJP leader L K Advani, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Parliamentary Party Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj among others.
BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the resolution hailed Modi for being the first Prime Minister to address the Nepal Parliament saying, "this is a great achievement in diplomacy".
Naidu said the Prime Minister got a rousing welcome in Nepal. "It was overwhelming, He had won the hearts and minds of Nepalese - 'PM ne jeeta - Nepali ka dil'," he said.
