Narendra Modi had started India’s economic integration: Amit Shah
NEW DELHI: Narendra Modi’s life in many ways is a “personification of the spirit of India”, BJP president Amit Shah said in a blog on Sunday.

The PM’s sensitivity towards the aspirations of the poor has led to “historic poverty alleviation initiatives taking shape at a scale unheard of in the history” of the country, Shah wrote on Modi’s 67th birthday.

“India First” has always been the ideal for Modi and he is living by that principle, the BJP chief said. Shah, while wishing Modi “a long as well as healthy life in service of the nation”, praised him for working for the nation on his birthday, too.

Shah said Modi had started India’s economic integration after Sardar Patel and BR Ambedkar achieved the country’s territorial and social unification. Under the Modi government, honest taxpayers felt they were valued following crackdowns against black money and corruption through various measures, including demonetisation and the benami law, he said.
