NEW DELHI: Setting a new precedent in recent decades, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today wrote to President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev greeting them on Russias national day.

Modi tweeted that he has wished two Russian leaders on their national day. He tweeted that India values strong and old bond with Russia.

This comes ahead of Modis visit to aircraft carrier INS vikramaditya on saturday. It also comes ahead of Russian deputy PM dmitry rogozins visit to india on june 18 to offer investments.
