Narendra Modi government a beginning of truly desi brand of politics: BJP

HARIDWAR: BJP today described Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government at the Centre as a beginning of era of a truly nationalist brand of politics in the country.

"A government based on a purely "desi ideology" has come to power for the first time under the leadership of Narendra Modi," BJP national general secretary Muralidhar Rao said during his visit to this holy city.

Noting that governments based on imported ideologies cannot solve the problems of this country, he said, Congress can exist as a political party but its dominance has come to an end.

Rao also said the country's security cannot be left to imported defence equipment.

Underlining the need for use of more and more indigenously developed defence equipment in the country, he said things are moving fast in that direction.
