Narendra Modi comes to haunt JDU in Bihar after his name props up for PM's post
The ghost of Gujarat CM Narendra Modi has once again come to haunt Bihar polity , all this because a senior BJP minister propped up Modi's name for the PM's post .
Ironically , the chief minister Nitish Kumar himself has gone reticent over the whole issue but the other functionaries within the JD(U) have hit back at the BJP and the minister , much as if it convey that Modi would never be acceptable to the JD(U).
The fact that Nitish Kumar has chosen to keep himself in leash does not mean he is happy with the turn of events but then he let the other JD(U) office bearers to do the talking, to quickly put things in perspective .
To be true , Narendra Modi has a fair bit of following within a section of the Bihar BJP but it has discreetly not gone public with their views in their bid to espouse his case for the PM's post .
But on Sunday , while participating in the Bihar Diwas celebrations organised in Surat , senior BJP minister in the Nitish cabinet Ashwani Kumar Choubey openly backed Modi's candidature for the high post , a development which created a stir back home in Bihar especially within the JD(U) camp.
Assuaging the frayed tempers of the JD(U) leadership, another senior BJP leader and deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar indulged in some explaining act saying Choubey's observations could be his personal views , and not that of the Party .
