Naga People's Front moves to governor with a letter of support from NPP, JDU
The move has come just a day ahead of counting of ballots. Nagaland along with Meghalaya went to assembly polls on February 27.

NPF president, Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu said that they have the agreement that if they are voted to power, T R Zeliang will be the chief minister.
He said that three parties fought the election in an alliance. NPF contested 58 seats while NPP and JDU contested 25 and 13 seats respectively. In some seats, these were friendly contest.
NPF has also submitted the letter of agreement with partners to the governor and stated that alliance is confident of getting the majority. “We would together stake a claim to form the government."
A senior NPF leader told ET, “We do not want the rerun of Manipur and Goa. Both this state went to polls last year. BJP despite not being the single largest party was able to form the government. We have moved early and have submitted all the documents necessary to the governor.”
