Nadda will also meet the victims of recent violence during the Panchayat polls in West Bengal as well as candidates who won the polls.
In his three-day visit, Nadda will participate in a two-day Panchayat Raj Sammelan (Conference) at Howrah’s Bagnan, which will be hosted by the BJP Bengal unit. Nadda’s visit coincides with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat’s visit to the state.
After attending the Panchay Raj Sammelan at Bagnan in Howrah district, Nadda will meet renowned author Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay in Deulti at the author's residence. The two-day conference will have participants from neighboring states.
Bhagwat will be participating in the two-day eastern regional working committee of the RSS starting on Friday, which will continue till Saturday.
The conference will have the presence of 134 Karyakartas (functionaries) and Zilla Parishad members from the eastern region-Andaman & Nicobar region, Odisha and Jharkhand will be present, BJP sources said.
Apart from organizational aspects, Sangh is also working and will be undertaking discussions on social issues like the development of rural areas, agri-development, women’s empowerment, financial empowerment and tribal development, people who have knowledge of the matter said.
Before its centenary in 2025, Sangh is focussing on these issues.
