N Rangasamy-led Puducherry government let people down: V Narayanasamy
The Congress candidate wanted the Chief Minister to explain what specific schemes had been implemented since the government came to power in 2011.

"The Centre had taken care of welfare of the people of Puducherry and evolved and implemented various developmental programmes. However, the three-year-old AINRC government headed by N Rangasamy and his partymen had been spreading misleading propaganda that the Central funds for Puducherry had been declining, he said.
The Centre had provided enough funds for drinking water projects, laying of roads, buildings for schools, hospitals and anganwadi centres, opening of a branch of National Information Technology and Technology Training Academy, he said addressing party cadres on the occasion of the 87th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister P Shanmugham.
He wanted the Chief Minister to explain what specific schemes had been implemented since the government came to power in 2011.
He criticised the territorial administration for its "failure to maintain law and order, protect the properties of citizens and attrocities by miscreants." The situation was so perilous that the Lt Governor had to intervene with police officials to take steps to maintain law and order, he said.
