MVA asserts government will complete term despite threats
At the event, state finance minister Ajit Pawar said while several attempts were made by the rivals to bring down the MVA government, the government continues to remain strong.

On Thursday, the MVA leaders gathered in Mumbai at a book release function to commemorate the completion of one year of the government. At the event, state finance minister Ajit Pawar said while several attempts were made by the rivals to bring down the MVA government, the government continues to remain strong. “Till the time Sonia Gandhi, Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray decide that the government needs to be in power, no power can shake this government,” said Ajit Pawar.
NCP chief Sharad Pawar lauded the work by the Uddhav Thackeray government and said that while the farmers from other states were protesting in Delhi, the farmers in the state felt no such need as the state was looking after them. The NCP chief claimed that the current government would last for 25 years and not just five. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray claimed that the coordination in the government was so good that he keeps getting calls from Congress President Sonia Gandhi inquiring if “hamare log (congress MLAs in Maharashtra) are causing any trouble in the state? I have told her that the Congress has supported me more than the NCP.”
Uddhav claimed that the state government will not bow down before ‘anyone’, a reference to its struggles with the Centre over various issues.
