Police registered a case against several people and named 15 people in the case based on an FIR registered by the son of the deceased, Iqbal.

MUZAFFARNAGAR: The bail plea of seven accused in a case related to the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots, was rejected by a court here today.

District sessions judge Vijai Laxmi rejected the bail plea of the accused Pratap, Satinder, Bharat, Niraj, Monu, Sarwan and Vinay, saying that the charges against them were serious.

According to the district government counsel Dushyant Tyagi, a woman Parajo Begum and her grandson Mohammed were burnt alive and thier houses burnt by the accused during the riots at Lank village in the district on September 8, 2013.
