MUZAFFARNAGAR: The district planning committee has passed a budget of Rs 120 crore for various development projects to be undertaken.

The decision was taken at a meeting yesterday which was attended by Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan, who is also the in-charge of Muzaffarnagar district.

The minister also directed the officials to complete the projects on time.

The district plan involves drawing up a blueprint of roadways and other areas of development in the district, especially in rural areas.

Meanwhile, Union Minister and Lok Sabha MP from Muzaffarnagar Sanjeev Balyan boycotted the meeting accusing Khan of being responsible for Muzaffarnagar riots. Balyan is also a member of the district planning committee.

However, other members from various political parties attended the meeting.
