The Supreme Court today took serious exception to political statements being made on sub-judice matter related to withdrawal of 4 per cent Muslim quota in Karnataka.

The apex court made this observation while hearing case related to scrapping of 4 percent Muslim quota in Karnataka. The SC said that some sanctity needs to be maintained when there is a court order.

Adjourning the hearing on Karnataka Muslim quota matter, SC extended the interim direction on non-implementation of order scrapping 4 per cent Muslim quota in Karnataka till further orders. The state government also assured the court that no admissions or appointments will be made till the next date of hearing.
