NASHIK: A delegation of Sunni Markzi Seerat Committee and other local Muslim groups have condemned the terror outfit al-Qaeda for announcing to establish its wing in the Indian subcontinent and voiced their concern in this regard before the Nashik Police.

A letter was submitted in this regard here at the Bhadrakali police station yesterday, Nashik Police Commissioner K K Sarangal said today.

A office bearer of the committee Meer Mukthar Ashrafi, said that India is beloved to the Muslim community as many Sufi saints like Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti have lived in India and even after their demise, national integrity is being strengthened by their followers in our country.

"We love this nation more than our lives and it will continue to do so," he said.

Commissioner of Police, K K Sarangal also welcomed delegation and lauded their role in maintaining national integrity.
