Mumbai serial blasts: Security stepped up in Karnataka
Police in Karnataka on Wednesday scaled up security and vigil in the state, particularly in this IT hub following the serial blasts in Mumbai.

"Security has been beefed up in Bangalore which houses software majors and is also a science and aeronautical hub besides other cities across the state in the wake of the serial blasts that rocked Mumbai", Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order) Rupak Kumar Dutta told PTI.
Police personnel across the state have been asked to be on high alert, he said.
In Bangalore, City Police Commissioner Jyoti Prakash Mirji instructed officials to step up security at all bus stations, railway stations, theatres and malls.
He also directed that night patrolling be intensified, Additional Commissioner of Police Sunil Kumar said.
