Mumbai lawyer Janhavi Gadkar consumed liquor at pub: Police

MUMBAI: Police officials investigating the crash involving corporate lawyer Janhavi Gadkar, who allegedly rammed her car into a cab and killed two people in Mumbai, said she consumed liquor at a pub after finishing drinks at Marine Plaza Hotel.

A team of RCF police officers visited the Irish House pub on Friday, where the 35-yearold lawyer was remanded to judicial custody till June 26. ET had reported her presence at the Irish House pub in the edition dated June 11. Police said their probe prima facie revealed that Gadkar drank at the pub.

In her statement to the police earlier, Gadkar said after finishing drinks at Marine Plaza Hotel, she went to Marine Drive and sat in her car for two hours before driving up to the Eastern Express Freeway, where the crash occurred early on Tuesday morning.
