LUCKNOW: Samajwadi party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav’s brother-in-law has been accused of thrashing a doctor in Etawah.

A state government medical officer, Pawan Pratap Singh alleged that Ajant Yadav, who is the brother in law of Mulayam, attacked him and his supporters beat him up. Singh said that he had parked his car near the residence of Ajant Yadav at Friends Colony in Etawah on Monday night.

Claiming that the parking space belonged to him, Yadav summoned Singh and abused him, according to reports. Singh alleged that Yadav's supporters beaten him up on his instigation and also damaged the car.

Doctor claimed that when he went to the police for complaining against Yadav, they did not listen to him. However, Etawah Civil Lines SHO DK Sisodia claimed that no complaint has been received regarding the incident.

BJP spokesperson, Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that the incident was symbolic of the lawlessness across the state. He said that despite the incident being highlighted by the media, the doctor is yet to get any help from the police. He claimed that the entire state has been held to ransom by SP goons who were taking law into their hands with impunity.
