Mulayam Singh Yadav gives Amar Singh a dressing down for giving 'wrong advice'

LUCKNOW: It was not a good day for Amar Singh, Rajya Sabha member of the Samajwadi Party, as after being threatened to be sacked from the party for his "mischievous" acts leading to unprecedented crisis in the party and the family, SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav too gave him a dressing down.

CM Akhilesh Yadav had also blamed Amar Singh on Wednesday-without naming him and referring to him as an outsider- disturbing party work. Sources told the ToI late Thursday night that Mulayam Singh Yadav spoke to Amar Singh on phone around 6pm and admonished him for misleading him on sensitive matters of the government and the party.

The SP chief is learnt to have told chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to sack two ministers Gayatri Prajapati and Raj Kishore Singh apparently on the advice of Amar Singh that the two ministers were indulging in corrupt practices. The chief minister sacked the two ministers but later the feedback of Amar Singh was found "baseless".

This not only caused embarrassment to Mulayam Singh Yadav but also created confusion in the Yadav family.

Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Yadav was also critical of Amar Singh+ , describing him as villain and a conspirator and suggested his dismissal from the party on Thursday. Mulayam scolded Amar asking him to limit his role to Rajya Sabha member and not interfere in the party and government affairs.
