Mulayam Singh has taken refuge in Lord Krishna after party's defeat in UP polls: Amar Singh

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has decided to install a 50-ft high copper statue of Lord Krishna at Safai, the hometown of the Yadav family.

Samajwadi Party veteran Mulayam Singh Yadav has taken refuge in Lord Krishna after the party's defeat in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, Rajya Sabha member Amar Singh said here today.

Singh, who was once a confidant of Mulayam Singh Yadav, was here to cast his vote in the civic polls.

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has decided to install a 50-ft high copper statue of Lord Krishna at Safai, the hometown of the Yadav family.


Singh was all prise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that there was no alternative to Modi in Gujarat and that the BJP would win the Assembly election.

Modi worked as a bridge to unite the country, the MP said.

He also hailed the central government's moves of demonetisation and GST.
