NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha on Tuesday accepted censure motion against Team Anna moved by JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav asking them to refrain from using derogatory language against MPs.

The censure motion, if adopted and voted in favour by a majority in the House, would mean that Team Anna members would be criticised but won't be called to the House unlike under a privilege motion.

Lamenting over Team Anna's derogatory remarks against parliamentarians, MP and senior JD (U) leader Sharad Yadav said "slamming MPs is a trend now".

Condemning Team Anna's derogatory remarks against MPs, Sharad Yadav said "Team Anna has developed a trend to criticise parliamentarians and steps must be taken to restore beliefs in Parliament".

According to sources, the opposition and ruling benches joined hands on the issue, if moved, it would be one of the rare occasions when both sides would be voting in favour of a same motion.
