MPs speak in one voice against odd-even; Pappu Yadav calls Kejriwal psycopath
NEW DELHI: Parliamentarians of both the houses are at odds with the odd-even scheme, with one calling Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal a “psychopath” and another saying it’s an effort to insult MPs.

Most MPs on Monday made it obvious that they are unhappy with the scheme and alleged that Kejriwal has launched it for “cheap publicity”.

Many complained that they were getting late for meetings because they have only one vehicle with a valid pass to enter the complex even as the special AC buses for MPs hardly found any takers.

Raising the issue in the LS during Zero Hour, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav alleged that Kejriwal is a “psychopath CM” while arguing that the scheme will not help reduce pollution. He cited an IIT study that states cars are responsible for only 5% of air pollution.

AAP member Bhagwant Mann, who carpooled with some other MPs to come to Parliament, countered Ranjan’s charges but many others supported the latter.

In the Upper House, SP leader Naresh Agarwal said the scheme is an attempt to insult MPs.
