MP wants steps to bring back 2 Indian professors kidnapped in Libya
NEW DELHI: A strong plea for making urgent efforts to bring back two Indian professors who have been kidnapped in Libya was made by a TDP member in the Lok Sabha today.

Raising the issue during zero hour, K Rammohan Naidu said Prof Gopalkrishnan, who hails from Andhra Pradesh and one of his colleagues who is from Telangana, were still in the clutches of the kidnappers while two other Indian academics have been released.

He said efforts are needed on a war footing as the organisation which is behind the act was similar to the one in Iraq which had kidnapped 39 Indians working there for over a year.

Anupriya Patel (Apna Dal) wanted January three, birth anniversary of noted social reformer Savitribai Phule, to be celebrated as National Women Literacy Day.

C Gopalakrishnan ( AIADMK) suggested that vehicles of MPs and former MPs should not be charged at toll plazas all over the country.

His party colleague P R Senthilnathan underlined the need for carrying the image of the Chief Minister in state government's advertisements.
