The two main Left parties in Madhya Pradesh will contest elections from 33 Assembly seats out of the total 230.

BHOPAL: The two main Left parties in Madhya Pradesh will contest elections from 33 Assembly seats out of the total 230.

The CPI will contest the Assembly polls from 25 seats while the CPM will fight elections on eight seats, a CPI release said here today.

Prominent among those contesting polls from CPI in the state include its state in-charge Shailendra Shaili, who will file nomination from Bhopal Central seat.

The party (CPI) will also field candidates from Ashta, Jabalpur Central, Sagar City, Khargone City, Bhagwanpura, Bhikamgaon, Rajpur, Sendhwa, Passemal, Dabra, Gwalior City, Anuppur, Kotma, Multai, Nagoud, Chitrakoot, Gurh, Bada Malhara, Churhat, Singrauli, Guna City, Bamouri, Baihar and Indore-2.

The state Assembly elections are scheduled to be held on November 25.
