Motilal Vora appointed as Tamil Nadu Congress Committee trustee

Motilal Vora and Kesavan were appointed trustees by party President Sonia Gandhi, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President E V K S Elangovan said.

CHENNAI: AICC treasurer Motilal Vora and party spokesperson C R Kesavan have been appointed trustees of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee Trust that administers party properties here.

Motilal Vora and Kesavan were appointed trustees by party President Sonia Gandhi, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President E V K S Elangovan said in a statement here.

Kesavan, the grandson of Rajaji, the first Indian Governor General, had held various positions including that of vice-president of the Centre-run Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development at Sriperumbudur here.

The appointments follow the exit of former Union Ministers and senior party leaders Jayanthi Natarajan and G K Vasan from Congress, who had held the position of trustees of the TNCC Trust.

Jayanthi Natarajan and Vasan were among the total five trustees of the TNCC Trust. Elangovan, Sudarsana Natchiappan and former Tamil Nadu MLA D Yasoda are the other three trustees.
