NEW DELHI: The coal ministry has been able to locate more files as demanded by the Central Bureau of Investigation, an official statement said.

CBI has been informed about the documents that could be located.

Further, update will be furnished in the next 2-3 days and a detailed report will be submitted by September 13, 2013 as directed by the Supreme Court. These documents are in the process of getting reconciled with the investigating agency, the statement said.

On Tuesday, the ministry reviewed efforts being made to locate the documents in a meeting with senior officials of ministries of power, steel, department of industrial policy and promotion and representatives from Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited and Coal India Ltd.

Officers of the various search teams which had been constituted for locating the missing files had worked on Saturday and Sunday to locate all such documents.

These teams had searched documents in their ministries, Lok Nayak Bhawan, Ranchi office of CMPDIL and in the offices of CIL and its subsidiary coal companies.
