Morbi bridge collapse result of massive corruption, says Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

Training his guns at BJP, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the Morbi bridge collapse happened because of massive corruption in BJP-ruled Gujarat.

AAP supremo also expressed grief over the loss of lives in Morbi. Meanwhile, he also lashed out at the BJP-ruled Gujarat government, saying the mishap is a result of a “big corruption”.

Kejriwal added that how can a clock manufacturing firm - Oreva, which never had any experience in handling cable suspension bridges, be given the responsibility of the same. “The company was not given a tender as well…how is this possible?” the CM asked.


One more person succumbed to injuries on Tuesday morning at the Morbi district hospital, thereby taking the death toll in the bridge collapse incident to 135. District collector told ANI that as many as 14 persons remain hospitalised, and one person is still reported to be missing, with search underway for him.
